Red Oak
Clear Red Oak, graceful handles; one end of this bowl is slightly larger than the other end, intentional and pleasing to my eye.
A section of sap wood on one side is whiter than the rest.
This is from a large Red Oak tree that was brought down by the remnants of hurricanes Gustave and Ike.
This bowl was made from the same section of the tree as # 2009. They make a nice set.
