Pecan
The shape of this bowl follows the shape of the tree it was made from and the growth rings. It is cut from a cross section of log, which is more prone to crack and split, but this bowl has dried and stabilized with only small surface checks and no significant cracks.
Pecan is very hard, heavy, dense wood.
This bowl is very similar to # 2063 and they could be used together. This one has more of a rounded lip and #2061 has a flat squared lip.
Both have some small, very light but colorful blue stain spots on the bottom.
