Aromatic Red Cedar
The wood in this bowl is mostly white sap wood with a dramatic pattern of aromatic, red heartwood, which reminds me of flames complete with smoke column. A light weight but sturdy bowl with a soft feel and rich red and white color.
Made from a twin topped cedar tree which grew on an old settler's home place site on my farm. Half of the top survives. I have planted a bed of Irises around it.
