White Oak
A great big acorn.
Carved from a big white oak that grew on the mountainside next to the trail to the top, on my farm. The tree had been dead for sometime when I carved this and a few months later a white fungus began to emerge from the center crack. I like it so I have left it to grow, which it has done slowly. It can be removed if you prefer or I can make another without things growing from it if you prefer.
I want to make some really huge ones and display them beneath a big oak tree somewhere, someday....
